Overview

The Studebaker Defense Intelligence teams are proficient in planning and operations of complex military and intelligence projects on a global level. Our executives have worked with numerous National Security, military and law enforcement bodies that include special operations and the clandestine service.

Our analysts, operatives and instructors are comfortable working in high-risk environments and offer effective and unique solutions aligned to mission objectives. Our key staff are skilled in providing expert and focused training solutions that include cybersecurity, surveillance and counter-surveillance, counter-terrorism and counter-proliferation, counter-insurgency, combat techniques, hostage rescue and maritime operations.

Government Sector Solutions

Intelligence and surveillance support to military operations

Our teams are skilled in areas of intelligence and complex military operations that demand accurate intelligence and Domain Battlefield Awareness (IMINT, SIGINT, HUMINT). The primary outcome is to provide commanders and operators with real-time, or near real-time, all-weather, comprehensive and continuous surveillance and information about the battlespace in which they operate with teams that are competent to work in complex and high-risk environments.

Narcoterrorism

We have extensive experience in support of border control operations, as well as cross-border operations linked to Narcoterrorism.

Combatting Human Trafficking

We work with Agencies and International Organizations to assist in the detection and prosecution of those participating in human trafficking and the subsequent protection of its victims.

Human Landscape and Socio-cultural support

Studebaker Defense Intelligence provides the capability that is categorized as "Intelligence support activity". Our goal is to provide sociocultural information to commanders and executive staff in order to "improve the understanding of the local population and to apply this understanding to the Decision Making Process.

War on Terrorism

Intelligence gathering with two primary roles:

  • Offense: Identify, locate, operate
  • Defense: Prevention of future attacks

WMD Proliferation

Intelligence gathering on nations’ strategic programs (including WMDs), state of their programs, connections to other programs, source material, and human capital and expertise. Tracking and monitoring activities of importance to National Security.

Peacekeeping Operations

Successful peacekeeping multinational efforts requires sharing of intelligence and information while still protecting our sources and methods. The focus is on Human Intelligence penetration and use of intelligence collection devices.

Cybersecurity

Factors of concern: protection of critical infrastructure, support of military operations, cyber espionage (government and commercial targets), Denial-of-Service attacks, cyber-based terrorism, hacktivists, on-line fraud, and the vulnerability of the cyber world to intrusion, corruption and disruption.

The Studebaker Cyber team specializes in Interactive Cyber Attack Simulation Exercises that provide a low-cost, low risk way to build and test incident response skills.

Protection of Critical Infrastructure

Areas of critical infrastructure are analyzed: industries such as processing (steel works, refineries and chemical plants), manufacturing (ammunition and vehicle production) and essential services (electricity, water, gas, oil, coal, transportation and communications).

Our team of subject-matter experts identify areas of vulnerability, compile a report clearly outlining the findings and develop a solution for implementation.

Avenues for attack (cyber or physical) are analyzed and mitigated. All vulnerable points are identified within each system’s unique structure and a detailed plan presented to thwart would-be attacks.

Economics & FININT

Our services include the analysis of potential foreign economic espionage, protection of trade secrets and technology and prevention of illicit transfer of dual-use technology. Gathering of information linked to financial crime, misconduct, money-laundering and terrorist financing, while considering multiplicity and interconnectedness with narcotics, human trafficking, cyber-crime and other illicit transactions.

Demographics

Studebaker Defense Intelligence team members analyze the characteristics of the broader population in terms of age, sex, distribution and how demographic trends will affect stability and behavior of various states or regions. This includes a close analysis of the Human Terrain and the factors that could lead to state fragility. The concerns with failed states are analyzed in relation to the effects it has on the state’s population, and potential spill-over across borders, which becomes a magnet for terrorist activity, NARCO dealers, human trafficking, and WMD proliferators. There is a correlation between National Security interests and failed states.

Health and Environment

Tracking patterns of infection and disease through SIGINT and OSINT information gathering. Multiple sources are considered that include reports by travelers, hospital admissions, larger than normal requests for drugs, and communications between government officials for the creation of early-warning communications to citizens about potential health risks in international markets. Our expertise includes global food security risk monitoring and mitigation to regions that are important to the United States such as the Middle East, South Asia and Latin America.

Host Nation and other training

Our Instructors draw from their own real-life experiences in the Intelligence Community, Special Forces and Law Enforcement to provide realistic training solutions tailored to specific needs. These services, conducted via Mobile Training Teams (MTTs) in representative environments, provide challenging pragmatic scenarios requiring a practical "real life" response. Examples of training programs include:

  • Basic Combat Techniques and Unit Task Proficiencies
  • Counter-terrorism and counter-proliferation
  • Surveillance and counter-surveillance
  • Counter insurgency
  • Close Quarters Combat (CQC)
  • Hostage Rescue (HR)
  • Hostile Environment familiarization (HEF)
